Lee looked a little sheepish as he stood beside me, like he was not quite certain where to begin.

"What is it, Lee?" I ask tentitavely, trying to aid the words out of him. "Why did you ask to see me?" It had been as soon as he had arrived that morning that Lee had asked if he could speak to me after training. Thus, here we are and he's adorably toungue-tied.

"I-It's just that... I know you don't like to make a big deal about it, but it's your birthday and... I wanted to give you something. B-But I couldn't give it to you around Neji and Tenten..."

Lee was blushing slightly and starring at his feet. I wondered what he could give me that he possibly couldn't in front of his team mates. Then I felt his hand on my cheek as he stood on tip-toe and, softly and hesistantly, two lips placed themselves on my other.
